Prerequisites: Participants should be knowledgeable in airport layouts, operations and facilities

What you will learn

Learn to process passengers for travel, including checking that documents are valid and processing baggage according to laid down procedures and check in passengers using manual check in procedures.

Upon completing this course you will have the skills to
  • Provide passenger assistance at the ticket counter and gate areas by issuing tickets, checking baggage and assigning seats
  • Assist passengers with check-in procedures, including tagging baggage and issuing boarding passes
  • Sell tickets, processes ticket changes, creates and books reservations
  • Assist passengers upon arrival
  • Enforce safety/security measures and protects sensitive zones
  • Facilitate the passenger boarding process. As directed, implement standard procedures during overbooked, irregular flights and denied boarding situations
  • Solicit volunteers to free up seats, re-accommodates passengers by booking alternative flights and provide travel vouchers. Log in tickets and completes sales reports. Perform other related duties as required or requested
